i was talking to a friend who is a ffvii fan since '98 about the LTD and and I thought you might be interested. He told me that it was dead in the Remake. And his points were 1. C not being interested in A and how he is with T (the most important tbh). 2. Sector 5 being about Zack (im not sure about that cause i didnt play CC). 3. Jessie. And here he said that everthing shippy between CA, happened with Jessie first so to him didnt feel special (like all the CT scenes that he said are unique). 1/

silver-wield:

The playground was about Zack, the high five was sweet but then T and A were doing it all the time and in his word ‘if h5 are proof then AT are more valid than CA’ 4. Aerith and her resolution. He always laughs when he reads the CA takes and theories cause the ship is dead both CA killed it and Tifa has nothing to do with it. 2/2

Yeah, so I’m not a zerith shipper, I just like Zack and respect canon, so I did all of these without any ship bias for zerith. I could’ve just ignored all the obvious things in the game that prove Zack is a big part of things but I didn’t ignore them because it’s stupid to pretend he doesn’t exist or have an important role to play.

Aerith spent all of chapter 8 pretending Cloud was Zack, and didn’t like it when he got sarcastic and rude about it because her Zack isn’t like that, but Cloud didn’t care and just wanted to go home.

LTD destruction

Your friend is right about the scenes. This link is hilarious with how many parallels there are between Aerith and Jessie, and some with Wedge, too.

Unique scene isn’t anymore.

Cloud canonically ditches Aerith in both OG and Remake.

Cloud ditches Aerith.

The devs made that rooftop scene less unique to Cloud’s pov. He already crossed a bunch of rooftops in a more exciting way. He also still canonically ditches Aerith, and he does that several times.

Remake vs OG slide scene.

I mean, if the evidence wasn’t there then I couldn’t list this much. Aerith in the JP for her resolution basically declares Cloud for him, then rejects him and he says how one sided that was. Because he was basically a prop during that. Same as in the language of flowers. He barely speaks or reacts and we don’t get enough shots of him to establish he’s participating in the conversation.

In the eng version of the resolution he asks if he gets a say because it’s a callback to all the times through the game that Aerith ignored him. It’s not him saying he loves her. It’s asking if she’ll even listen to him. Which she ignores, so that’s his answer. And the JP says that heroic line is basically the same as picking up a friend from the airport. The eng gives Cloud the line because he wants to be thought of as a hero, even though he’s a total dork.

And he’s also in love with Tifa, so that puts paid to anyone else being with him. Not to mention Aerith has foreshadowed her death several times.

image

From her memories of you, and we know she associates the sky with it having taken away her loved ones. At the same time, it symbolises Zack, so she’s conflicted in her feelings. She wants to move forward, but can’t because she still loves him. So, she doesn’t try and keeps on loving him. And we can see through the game that Aerith is unhappy because she gets teary eyed a lot.

image

She’s hiding her grief behind a smile, while Cloud and Tifa are just doing their own thing separate from Aerith, because their relationship isn’t threatened by Aerith being around.

Tifa and Aerith are friends. Cloud isn’t interested in Aerith, and wouldn’t be because he’s all about Tifa at his core and Aerith is Zack’s girlfriend. Cloud isn’t a pos who’d go after his best friend’s girl, and more importantly, Cloud is all about Tifa.

Remake is making things very clear.

Aerith loves Zack, who is currently listed as missing in the ultimania.

image

Zack obviously loves Aerith.

Cloud is still all about Tifa. His last concern in ch7 was her safety and the conversation between him and real Cloud involved her too. Not to mention everything else he does for her. And that real Cloud hugged her and wanted to before the event.

Tifa shows us she’s more outgoing in her feelings to Cloud. She has the two scenes in chapter 7 and 17 that show her developing feelings for him. She won’t let him down and doesn’t want to lose him.

She can recognise him by the way he sits and they also have a ton of matching dialogue, poses, battle callouts, ability moves and even their limit breaks utilise their similar grace and fighting style. Hell, they even have similar walks.

It really is hilarious when people try and argue Cloud and Tifa have nothing when there’s a mountain of in game proof saying otherwise, not to mention the Remake ultimania backs up the claims.

image

The narrative canon, which means we got alone at last which makes that narrative canon as well. So, this is the choice and Tifa’s resolution is the main one we get. But of course they all occur, but in terms of which is more important to Cloud, it’s this one.

Because Tifa.

Anonymous:

According to the birthdays given to us, Cloud is a Leo, Tifa is a Taurus and Aerith is a Pisces and these signs fit them so perfectly I’m amazed at how much thought they’ve put into these characters

silver-wield:

Nojima said it. People kept calling Cloud icy, but he’s clearly not. His personality fits his star sign and his blood type.

Ayumi Ito joked if she’d known Tifa’s blood type she’d have factored it into her performance for AC, so while in the west we pay more attention to that, in Asia, blood typing for personality traits is more important. It’s very likely Nojima put careful thought into everyone’s star signs, too, though.

Cloud’s born in 1986, so he’s a tiger.

Tifa’s born in 1987, so she’s a rabbit

Aerith’s born in 1985, so she’s an ox

Zack’s born in 1984, so he’s a rat.

Rats and oxen are compatible.

Tigers and Rabbits are compatible.

Unfortunately we don’t know Zack’s other star sign, but Cloud and Tifa are compatible still.

I think knowing this extra info about everyone makes the relationships more fun ❤️😁

I’ve gotten into the Assassination Classroom fandom just recently, and fell in love with Karmanami in an instant!

So I’ve been re-watching all the episodes over and over again, mostly because I really do enjoy everything about this anime, but also because I wanted to make sure that I’ve spotted all the Karmanami moments I could spot. I was sure that since the show has ended for a while now, everyone’s probably already spotted all the Karmanami moments.

While watching the Island Arc, after the assassination attempt on the church failed, I noticed that Karma was helping someone out of the water. I suddenly got curious, who was he helping out of the water? I zoomed in real close, I just wanted to know who he was helping, I wasn’t expecting anything

AND THEN I SAW THE COLOR OF THE HAIR …

AND THEN THE EYE …

AND THEN THE OUTLINE OF THE GLASSES UNDER THE EYE …

IT’S OKUDA!!! 😍💕

I got pretty excited, since I’ve been looking at all the past posts about Karmanami I could find, but I never saw anyone post about this. So I was pretty excited to see it myself.

EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN BARELY SEE HER, THERE’S NO DENYING THAT IT’S OKUDA FOR SURE. 😍

I just thought it was incredibly sweet that he’s looking out for her and helping her. She’s not very athletic like everyone else, and it warms my heart to see (even just a glimpse) that Karma’s actually gentle with her. 💕

ALSO, THEY’RE HOLDING HANDS!!! 😍🥰💕

We love the moments where they both held each other other’s wrists, but THIS IS ACTUALLY THEM HOLDING HANDS! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

If only I could draw, I would so make a fanart about this! (But I can barely draw stick figures, let alone make fanarts 😅)

Hearts That Call Eachother

image
image
image

At the beginning of the trailer, Cloud and Tifa reach for each other and Cloud calls her name, at the ending scene they have another intense reach for each other as Tifa calls his name and the camera slows and we fade into the logo before they can touch. Calling out to each other, hearts yearning to connect and close the distance between them.

image

References to the night before the final battle have already begun in mainstream marketing and entertainment channels.

image

(THEORY!) If you didn’t watch the video linked in part two, now would be a good time. These scenes of Cloud and Tifa talking take place at night in a private room away from the Seventh Heaven building, his is likely where The Promise is revealed to the player. The next morning, we see Cloud and Tifa emerge as watchmen Attack Seventh Heaven and Barret exclaims, “Where ya been?”

Did Tifa spend the night in Clouds Room for whatever reason? Did she fall asleep without meaning too? If they spent the night together, intentional or not, it would serve as a foreshadowing of the night before the final battle, where they make their feelings known, and have a cuddle, as their comrades tease them the next morning.

image

The Romance between Cloud and Tifa has already been set in stone and heavily referenced in foreshadowed in just the trailers alone, it is an agonizing, slow burn, filled with years of pining and yearning between the two, distance they both wish they could close, and fate continually pushes and pulling them apart again. Square Enix knows the intensity of this slow burn, and that’s why they tease Cloud and Tifas hands getting as tantalizingly close as they possibly can before it fades into the iconic new logo meant to represent this new Remake.

The Promise to protect Tifa and their connection to each other is a red string tied intimately together with the narrative and Cloud puts himself back into danger specifically to race back to Tifa and save her as the stairs crumble beneath them, he promised to be her hero, and that’s all he ever wanted to be anyway. ♥️

The Lifestream Sequence and the distance they wish to close between each other is a visual theme tied together within the narrative as intimately as the two characters themselves are.

image
image

These two “Childhood Best Friends” have a reunion of their own that is already being built up and foreshadowing, and it is even described as a “Reunion in the True sense” with Cloud expressing that they “Finally” meet again.

image

In fact, the entire basis of Clouds First Class persona has to do with his own ideals and wishes, what he thinks is macho, cool, and alluring. Having a persona worthy of attention and admiration is a core that goes along with his desire to also garner Tifas affections, she is his dream.

The Real Cloud wants him and Tifa to be alone, he will continually suggest and influence himself to seek her out, alone, and talk to her. We can already see him watching her in many scenes, and his attention is hawk-like in scenes where they are alone, she is the key to his secrets locked within his mind. Protecting Tifa and becoming worthy in her eyes is his deepest secret wish.

image
image
image

Cloud becomes fierce and protective whenever Tifa is in danger, and will defy fate to keep the both of them together.

Right now, it seems very likely that the Watchmen Of Fate came because Sephiroth failed to manipulate Cloud the way he wanted, and the genuine memory of The Promise unlocks a fragment of The Real Cloud, threatening Sephiroths control over Cloud, which Tifa will do continually throughout the narrative.

The Promise Scene. “Can’t say this is quite what I had in mind when I asked for your help way back when”

image

Japanese translation of Tifas Dialogue during this scene is “I’ll protect you”

image

Distance separating them that they wish they could close will be a visual theme.

image
image

In both of these scenes, Tifa is the one putting the distance between her and Cloud and he is watching her intently, and interested in initiating conversation with her, a stark difference to his interactions with others thus far.

image

Here we see a rare initiation from Cloud, starting a conversation and even trying to pry into what Tifa is feeling and thinking, her opinion matters highly to him after all, and even states at a point that it has never mattered what anyone else said, that only Tifas opinion counted to him.
